Ramon is a semiconductor design expert with over 30 years of industry experience in Physical Implementation, CAD, and methodology development, specializing in building and leading high-performance silicon teams across multi-site locations. Proven success in directing complex chip development programs, including 72 career tapeouts across 6 companies, managing teams of over 100 engineers, and delivering products with significant business impact across a wide range of technology nodes.
Ramon is a highly accomplished tech executive having held Director positions across multiple Silicon Valley companies including Google, Broadcom, Netlogic Microsystems and Raza Microelectronics.
As one of the founding members of the silicon team inside Google Cloud, built the physical design organization from the ground up and then led that organization through an amazing period of growth for over a decade. In addition to physical design, built and led several other teams from the ground up including Package, Power, DFT, Top-level and Technology.
As the leader of the implementation team, he contributed to 23 tapeouts across Tensor Processor Units (TPU), Video Processing Units (VPU) and Networking ASIC product families that collectively delivered billions of dollars of impact to Google.
